According to the US centers for disease control and prevention, this is why you need to protect yourself and take steps to avoid infecting others. The agency recently published a list or recommendations to stay healthy. It advises to avoid close contact with people who are sick. If you are sick, stay home. When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue. Frequently wash your hands. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Clean and disinfect often-used surfaces at home, work or school. Get plenty of sleep and regular physical activity. Drink plenty of nonalcoholic fluids to stay well-hydrated. Finally, maintain a healthy, well-balanced diet.
